One By One

One by one I made a list of things
I swore that I would never do
Now one by one the list is slowly
Coming true

What was it I wrote about commitment
What was it I said concerning dreams
Wasn't there something in there on courage
Now there are only silent screams

How I was know the task before me
The task of growing up I guess
Who gets so very dark and stormy
Such a mess

I wonder if there's really starting over
I want to recreate the list
Oh I wanted so much to be perfect
To rather live a life of bliss

But I guess there's only moment to moment
Changes always taking place
So there will be a chance alter
but not erase

So now there will be a time for healing
There will be a time for peace
I will see the truth revealing
